Kehilla Community Synagogue Kashrut Policy

The Kehilla Community Synagogue (Piedmont, CA) maintains a vegetarian/dairy/fish kashrut standard for all food in its building. No meat or poultry is allowed. The policy was adopted to avoid mixing meat and dairy, accommodate diverse diets, and reduce carbon footprint. A previous exception for chicken at the Passover seder was eliminated. Peanut restrictions were dropped in 2008.
