Historic Filipinotown Temple Street to Beverly

Several Filipino restaurants and food businesses have survived gentrification in Historic Filipinotown (HiFi), though the area’s Filipino food cluster is smaller than its historical population would suggest due to displacement to Eagle Rock, West Covina, and Carson [1]. Notable survivors include Bahay Kubo Restaurant, Lutong Bahay, and Goldilocks (a bakery and restaurant chain) [1]. Additionally, Filipino American Service Group (FASGI) and Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) remain active community organizations in the neighborhood [1]. However, the sources do not provide a comprehensive map of current HiFi food businesses or a complete list of all surviving restaurants. For a full inventory, additional local business directories or community surveys would be needed.
